This Michael Phelps Fan Actually Got #PhelpsFace Tattooed On His Leg!

Swimming legend Michael Phelps gave birth to #PhelpsFace after throwing shade at his main rival for the 200m butterfly, South Africa’s Chad le Clos.

After a camera in the ready room captured Michael Phelps’ intense stare while Chad le Clos did his little dance before Monday night’s 200-meter butterfly race, the image became social media’s meme of the moment, and now it’s permanently inked on a Phelps fan’s body.

“I said before I started, there is a possibility I could come in and get two golds, two silvers, two fourths. I’m going to ask the coach now”, Le Clos said after his semi-final swim in the 100m butterfly. I stand by what I said. As much as I wanted to cry – I really did, I must be honest – I didn’t.

“This is not even the fifth worst thing that has happened to me over the last few months”.

“In my mind I was winning”.

While that could also be just a smart marketing move from the studio, it is certainly not the first time famous athletes were tattooed on people.

“I definitely saw the memes beforehand, and when he sent me the photo via WhatsApp, we had a bit of a laugh about it but then pretty spontaneously chose to go ahead and do it”, the tattoo artist revealed.

“I will not make any excuses from my side there may have been reasons for the defeat but I will never say that”.
