“This is very much a treat”, Obama said, noting that she had rocked out in the passenger seat of a vehicle only a few times during her husband’s presidency.
Corden travelled to the White House for the segment – with Mrs Obama following in the footsteps of Adele, Ellen DeGeneres and Elton John in the host’s passenger seat.
The instant-viral-hit Carpool Karaoke featured the First Lady with James Corden and Missy Elliot joined in later too.
During her Washington, D.C., ride-along with the late-night host, Obama told the host to “crank it up” to sing along to past “Carpool Karaoke” guest Stevie Wonder (“I know every Stevie song on the planet”) and Beyonce’s “Single Ladies”.

Elliot even dropped by the carpool to help the first lady reprise the rapper’s 2001 classic Get Ur Freak On.
