This Terrifying Glass ‘Skyslide’ Is Not For The Faint Of Heart

The OUE Skyspace LA is an open-air 360-degree observation deck that offers visitors a chance to take in LA from 1,000 feet above ground. And the only thing better than the view from the top is the view from the glass slide on the side.

The slide on the outside of the 70th floor of the city’s tallest building is preparing to welcome the courageous.

If you think roller coasters are no big deal, try this.

“We are pleased to be celebrating the completion of the asset enhancement at U.S. Bank Tower”. The slide has recently been made open to public from June 25 and costs just $8 (and maybe your life or at least your breath) per ride.

The 1,018-foot-tall U.S. Bank Tower will lose its title as the tallest building on the West Coast when the nearby Wilshire Grand Tower is completed in 2017. And when I scooched slowly toward the point of no return, I thought strongly about turning around. Tourists and thrill-seekers will all flock to slide down the world’s shortest thrill ride, but I won’t be one of them.

It spans 45 feet from the 70th to the 69th floor of the U.S. Bank Tower in downtown Los Angeles. A ticket will get you access to two stunning observation decks and a ride on the Skyslide.
