This War of Mine dev’s Frostpunk pushes boundaries “even further”
11 Bit Studios, the developers of This War of Mine and the Anomaly series have announced a new game, Frostpunk. There isn’t a huge amount of specific detail to accompany this reveal, but it does have a teaser trailer and the announcement blurb offers one or two clues.

The premise begins by imagining what society is capable of when pushed to the limit.
The world of Frostpunk imagines what culture and society would look like in a risky frozen world where steam-powered technology has been developed in order to fend off the inescapable cold. “Looking back at This War of Mine, we’re pushing boundaries even further, but we’re not pointing at reality in the same fashion”, creative director Michael Drozdowski said. Think about how survival in the end may leave us different beings. “If it becomes more or less humane – that is debatable”.
Frostpunk uses an icy dystopian steampunk setting as the backdrop for a game that asks players to consider the choices that must be made in the name of survival on a frozen-over Earth.
