Not only that, but she called the situation a “nightmare” and said she thought it could be “the worst thing to have ever happened in [Miss Gutierrez’s] life”!
The “Modern Family” star tweeted a message of support to fellow Colombian and Miss Universe runner-up Ariadna Gutierrez, after host Steve Harvey took away her crown after she was mistakenly named the victor over Miss Philippines. He said that “Miss Philippines came to win, and Miss Colombia came to lose”.
And she also had love for the real Miss Universe, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. “This was a terribly honest human mistake and I am so regretful”.
Miss Colombia has spoken out after she was at the centre of a Miss Universe debacle which saw her wrongly crowned the victor. Miss Colombia was not the kind to keep grudges in her heart. The crown was removed from Arevalo’s head and placed on Wurtzbach in a stunning live television moment. ‘I feel awful, ‘ he wrote.
