“Paris”, David answered to a giggling audience.

Geography isn’t everyone’s strong point, but most people would be able to tell you what country Venice is in.

A Wheel of Fortune contestant proved you don’t really have to know what you’re winning to win it. When we think of Venice-which is in Italy for those of you who are still left scratching your heads-the first image that pops into our minds is a gondola ride.

Earlier this week on Wheel of Fortune, husband-and-wife team David and Keri managed to solve an “Event” puzzle for a cool $8,850. Aside from their trip, they struck it big in the Bonus Round, coming away with a total of $60,432. Despite the goof up, it was a good showing for the Italy-bound couple.

In an earlier post, he said: ‘What a fantastic experience it was for Keri and I to appear on the Wheel of Fortune!

And yet, he still won the prize.

Congrats to David and Keri – let’s just hope that when they get to the airport, they don’t accidentally board a plane to Brazil. Oh well, it was entertaining watching me drown on national television without a life preserver.

The pair were harshly ridiculed on Twitter, with people calling them “stupid” and “idiots”.
