Prime Day deals will be live in a number of Amazon’s key territories, including the UK, US, Spain, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Canada, Belgium, and Austria. Members in the United States can shop starting at midnight PT, with new deals as often as every five minutes throughout the day.

“Following last year’s record sales, we have dramatically increased the inventory behind many deals”, said Greg Greeley, vice president of Amazon Prime.

But in fact, Amazon will be building up to Prime Day for a full week, running “countdown” deals from July 5 through July 11. The company is offering a 32-inch TV and bundled Fire TV Stick for $119.99. The Amazon Shopping app is necessary to bag the best Amazon Prime Day 2016 deals.

Headphones, diapers, video game consoles, wireless routers, mobile device cases and toys were among the items on sale past year during Amazon Prime Day. Once you’ve found a deal you think is bargainous, simply enter the Amazon URL into camel’s search bar, and you’ll see a full price history of said product – hot or not just got dead easy. It’s the answer to Amazon Prime’s two-day shipping. These are deals that will be available each day up until Prime Day in the US.

Amazon will host its second annual summer sales blitz, known as Prime Day, on July 12.

But Walmart does plan on going head to head with Prime Day, an online Black Friday for Prime members.

In May, Walmart Stores Inc. trimmed its free-shipping pilot program ShippingPass to two-day delivery from three and cut a dollar off the membership price to $49. “Even with this massive selection we know numerous Prime Day offers will sell out, so members should download the Amazon shopping app to receive notifications on their favorite deals”. Another person mused: “Fool me once @amazon, shame on you”.

So, for $50 more per year, Amazon offers a ton of additional perks that Walmart’s ShippingPass doesn’t. Prime members get a 30-minute head start on Lightning Deals, and parents get a discount on FreeTime Unlimited, which gives you tons of child-friendly content for $2.99 instead of $4.99. It’s a key platform for Amazon because Prime members buy more than others.
