Target will also be taking $100 off Beats Solo 2 Headphones, which is an impressive deal. Almost 75% of these items will have greater than 50% discount for a single day only.
“It can be exhausting for working parents and millenials to stay up past midnight to shop online, only to wake up early the next day to get ready for work”, Fernando Madeira, President and CEO of Walmart.com, said in a statement. That represented the heaviest online spending day in history and the first to surpass $2 billion in sales, said the firm, which tracks online sales.
This seems to be important news for Wal-Mart shoppers that Cyber Monday will come several hours early this year on Sunday evening. Target said that online sales increased 20 percent, which was below its expectations of 30 percent for the period. For those who are shopping for a baby, Target will also be offering a $50 gift card to those who spend $250 in the baby department this weekend.

While Wal-Mart is maintaining its $50 threshold for free shipping during the holiday season, it encourages shoppers to use its pickup service for less expensive orders. However, Amazon is also running week-long sales and lighting deals all week as part of their Black Friday Deals Week.
