Thom Yorke turned up to perform at his neighbour’s garden party
Yesterday (June 12), an unsuspecting Reddit user received a text from their father, saying that Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke was playing a backyard garden party in Oxford, UK. As of yet, no video has surfaced, but the above photo is enough to have us Daydreaming.

Despite his world-famous band’s heavy schedule (and instantly sold-out stadium shows), the singer took some time to attend a neighbor’s garden party this weekend, presumably held in honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday, where he played a coveted solo acoustic set for an elderly array of attendees. “Those old snobs have no clue how lucky they are”, the same attendee at the party wrote having posted a picture on Twitter.
As FACT reports, Thom played for 30 minutes taking in tracks such as “No Surprises”, “Reckoner”, “Street Spirit (Fade Out), “Desert Island Disk” and “I Might Be Wrong”. Now he’s reportedly performed an acoustic gig for an audience full of people who don’t know how to spell his name. First, Radiohead dusted off their rarely played “Creep,” and then they threw their new album A Moon Shaped Pool on Spotify (so much for “the last desperate fart of a dying corpse”).
