Thom Yorke Unwraps Radiohead’s Unused Bond Theme ‘Spectre’
Yes we were… “It did not work out …” That turned out to be true, but for whatever reason, they went with the song submitted by Sam Smith.

The band’s vocalist Thom Yorke has revealed that they were asked to write a song for the latest James Bond film.
It’s Christmas 2015, but it may as well be Christmas 2008-both Radiohead and LCD Soundsystem have dropped surprise new tracks for the holidays.
Interestingly, the track is an unused song for this past fall’s James Bond film, Spectre. It looks like there’s another group of people asked to record their version of the Spectre theme – and it’s none other than Radiohead. Thom capped off his tweets with: “May the force be with you”.
In July, one bookmaker suspended betting on the identity of the act that had recorded the theme after one punter tried to bet £15,000 on Radiohead.

“It didn’t work out, but became something of our own, which we love very much”, Radiohead wrote on its website.
