Robinson said he spoke to Rivera about approaching the players, and the coach agreed. “I know that back before the season started, it was a couple weeks before the season, I was at home just watching TV, and I got a text message that said they appreciated me being there and they appreciate my hard work every day”.

The bye week between the conference championship games and the Super Bowl is supposed to allow players to heal up so the contending teams can be at relatively optimal health.
That may happen as Davis and Allen participated in practice last Wednesday, according to ESPN, and are on their way to recovery after suffering injuries in the earlier rounds of the playoffs.
