Thompson, who was 14 for 18 from the field, including 5 for 6 from 3-point range, also spoke of the pride he felt resisting the temptation to force bad shots while he was shooting well as Curry struggled.
A night after managing just 17 points in the fourth quarter and needing Harrison Barnes’ 3-pointer with 0.2 seconds left to rescue them in a 108-105 victory over the 76ers, Golden State’s high-powered offense was still stuck in neutral to open the game.
Green scored 20 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out 10 assists in the Warriors’ (44-4) seventh straight victory.

Having missed a three-pointer with the game tied 99-99 at the end of regulation Ellis converted another with 20.4 seconds to go in overtime to seal a second straight win for the Pacers. With a team that uses any excuse to find motivation and run all over teams, their next game against the New York Knicks, with a day of rest to think about their mistakes, doesn’t bode well for their opponents.
