Graeme Storm suffered the agony of missing out on glory at the Porsche European Open in Germany where he finished second to Thongchai Jaidee.
The 45-year-old was impressive throughout as he recorded eight birdies and just one bogey to move on to 13-under par for the tournament, one stroke clear of English pair Ross Fisher and Graeme Storm as well as Swede Pelle Edberg.
Jaidee felt the greens played into his hands on Saturday.
“I enjoy playing this course and my game is good right now”. Seven under is very good for me today.
“I had a loose tee shot but still had a chance for birdie and then 16 was a poor tee shot, and I was unlucky with the lie”, said Fisher. The course is not very long so being in position is important.
Jamie Donaldson of Wales, Magnus A Carlsson of Sweden and Mikko Ilonen of Finland were tied for fifth at 11 under, while Peter Uihlein of the United States and Denmark’s Soren Kjeldsen were both 10 under.

Overnight joint-leader Charl Schwartzel carded two double-bogeys in the space of three holes just before the turn to slide down the leaderboard, dropping into a group on six under after his four-over-par 75.
