Thousands say farewell to slain ‘Voice’ singer
Hundreds of people gathered Friday night at the Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford, to grieve and pay tribute to slain singer Christina Grimmie.

The public memorial, set to begin at 8 p.m. following an afternoon of visitation with the family, comes after Grimmie was laid to rest Thursday night in a small, private gathering with family and friends.
We are still at a loss of words over this shocking loss of life. One of her most popular videos was her rendition of “In Christ Alone”, written by Stuart Townend and Keith Getty. This is where I am wrestling, God’s plan is better than my plan.
Christina’s grieving mother Tina remembered the special “mother-daughter” time she shared with the star in her moving speech.
The Voice star Christina Grimmie was shot while she was meeting fans, signing autographs and selling merchandise after a concert in Orlando. “I love you Christina, you are the best”. She was attacked by 26-year-old Kevin James Loibl who then took his own life following a struggle with Grimmie’s brother. “I just want her to come home, I want to see her”. It happened so fast that her arms were open. “All I’m going to say is thank God for the mark that she left on this world”, Marcus Grimmie told mourners.
The couple, both 24, said they’ve been fans since Grimmie launched her YouTube channel as a high school student.
“What I liked about her most was she didn’t just treat her fans like fans, she treated them more special than fans”, Lang said.
“I got to know her very well and we’re still in a lot of shock and it’s hard to make sense of these kinds of things”, she told fans.
She released her debut recording “Find Me” in 2011, while the singer’s second EP – “Side A” – was released earlier this year.
“I found out this morning that Adam Levine personally called my mother and said he will pay for her funeral and her plane flight, and I was blown away”, Marcus wrote on his Facebook page on June 12.

That is a question that still haunts the Grimmie family and even authorities.
