Hundreds of people gathered Friday night at the Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford, to grieve and pay tribute to slain singer Christina Grimmie.

“The one thing about Christina and her family, is that she holds her faith so closely to her”, she said, before dedicating her next song “Transfiguration” to Grimmie.
Christina was best known for placing third on the popular NBC show The Voice back in season 6, working with coach Adam Levine.
Christina Grimmie’s mother, Tina, is comforted by husband Albert Grimmie during the memorial service for their daughter Christina, who was shot dead by a deranged fan.
She had been the opening act for Selena Gomez and other singers in recent years, as she was on June 10 with the band Before You Exit during her final performance, at The Plaza Live in Orlando, where she was killed. Her parents Bud and Tina Grimmie made emotional speeches during the event.
And Tina broke down in tears as she remembered the last time she had seen her beloved daughter. “She loved the Lord and her family and was always there for me and I honestly don’t know what ill do without her”.
On Monday, Marcus said in a Facebook post that he was “blown away” after learning that Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine “personally called my mother and said he will pay for the funeral and her plane flight”.
“I could tell you about the memories of when she was a baby and she lah-la-lahed and when she was getting a bath I’d tell her to sing for Jesus”, Mrs Grimmie said while trying to stifle her sobs.
Grimmie’s older brother Marcus, who was present outside the concert where she was shot and was hailed as a hero for tackling the shooter and preventing more casualties, also shared a few words at the memorial.
But, the Grimmie patriarch added, “God showed me that he’s way bigger than that hole”.
The former The Voice US contestant Christina Grimmie has been laid to rest in a private funeral. “I was really mad, but when Christina went home to be with the Lord Jesus, I told him “I’m not mad”.
Among the mourners were many fans of the singer, including one who traveled from Germany to say goodbye.
“What I liked about her most was she didn’t just treat her fans like fans, she treated them more special than fans”, Lang said.
‘She loved this town, Marcus Grimmie told the crowd.

That is a question that still haunts the Grimmie family and even authorities.
