Threat Perception “Extremely High” For PM Modi This Independence Day, Alert…

The report said that the threat perception to the PM was was ‘extremely high’.

As per the input, the planning for such an attack is being done by the two terror groups with active support from Pakistan’s notorious intelligence agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

The Daily further quoted a senior officer as saying that the recommendation was not just because of the Kashmir unrest or the increasing infiltration bids from across the border.

The intercepts have also revealed that militant groups may launch coordinated attacks or lonewolf attack on August 15, targeting the PM. The information have been shared with SPG and other anti-terror units, following which an “unprecedented security arrangement” have been made for Pm Modi.

Several drills have been carried out and commandos and spotters have been deployed at strategic locations to keep the PM out of the range of most short and long-range weapons. The innermost cordon has been specially trained in this aspect. They said that there are chances of an attack on Modi for independence day next month.

The central intelligence bureau is coordinating with the state agencies on a day to day basis to ensure that no untoward incidents take place. Around 5,000 SPG personnel, IB, paramilitary forces and Delhi Police have secured the area covering Red Fort alone and high-resolution CCTV cameras have been installed around the Red Fort.
