Three BSP, three Congress, one SP legislators join BJP
With the latest inclusion of expelled Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) general secretary Swami Prasad Maurya, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has expressed absolute confidence of sweeping the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls.

These 11 MLAs belong to different parties including SP, BSP and Congress, according to in CNN-News18.
Kazim Ali’s mother Begum Noor Bano is a senior Congress leader and former MP from Rampur, and a staunch opponent of SP stalwart Azam Khan.
He once again accused the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Mayawati, of being neck deep in graft and said that she was always happy when there were atrocities on Dalits.
“Whatever is happening in the state is due to nexus of BSP and SP”, he said.
“Besides being a political party, BSP is also a movement of social change. Therefore, it does not induct “aya ram, gaya ram” in its fold”, she said.
Commenting on today’s development, ruling SP alleged that BJP-led central government had “failed” on all fronts and was trying to mislead people. It was making efforts to win election on the basis of “imported” faces, SP spokesman Rajendra Chaudhary said.
Bala Prasad Awasthi (Mohammadi-Lakhimpur) and Rajesh tripathi (Chillupar-Gorakhpur) of the BSP, Sher Bahadur (Jalalpur) of the Samajwadi Party as well as Sanjay Prasad Jaiswal (Rudauli-Basti), Vijay Dubey (Khadda-Kushinagar) and Madhuri Verma (Nanpara-Bahraich) of the Congress. Among them was Dr Mohd Muslim, MLA from Tiloi, which is part of the high-profile Amethi Lok Sabha seat represented by Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi.
