Kicker Ammon Lakip, tight end Jay Jay McCullough and freshman receiver Deon Cain were suspended ahead of their Orange Bowl matchup with the Sooners after reportedly failing a drug test, according to The Post and Courier.
Three Clemson players have been suspended for the game against Oklahoma. However, Lakip returned after serving a suspension to regain the kickoff job and as recently as the ACC Championship game had taken over the kicking of extra points.
Jay Jay McCullough, a junior tight end, has not caught a pass this season. Upstate and The Clemson Insider earlier reported the suspensions.

Clemson’s sports information office declined to comment and said head coach Dabo Swinney would address the reports during an 8:30 a.m. Wednesday press conference that had already been scheduled. A true freshman, he stepped up when starter Mike Williams went down for the season with a neck injury in the opener and ranks second on the team with 582 yards on 34 receptions.
