The Israeli army initially released a statement saying that troops shot two people “after a number of Palestinians hurled rocks and Molotov cocktails at moving vehicles near the village of Beit Sira on route 443”.

Three 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old were injured.

The teen, identified by the Palestinian Ministry of Health as Mahmoud Badran, was fatally shot when the vehicle he was traveling in was sacked upon by an Israeli military patrol, head of the village council of Beit Ur al-Tahta Abdul Karim Kassem told Reuters.

Palestinian officials harshly condemned the shooting, saying the 15-year-old was “murdered” while travelling in a auto with two brothers and two other teenagers in the occupied West Bank.

The demolition of the family home in conjunction with the Civil Administration and the Border Police, took place Monday evening in the West Bank village of Kfar Haja, near Nablus. “From the initial inquiry, it appears that uninvolved bystanders were mistakenly hit during this pursuit”, the IDF said in a statement, adding that investigation into the death of the teen has been launched. Two people were arrested, the military said.

Asked by AFP whether that included the person killed, she said yes, as well as those wounded.

The Israel Defense Forces demolished the home of the Palestinian terrorist who killed an American college student during a March stabbing attack in Jaffa.

The troops entered the West Bank village of Hajjah to knock down the residence of Bashar Masalha.

Israeli authorities say most of the Palestinians were killed as they carried out knife, gun or car-ramming attacks.
