Three-legged tiger bites drunk woman who trespassed at Nebraska zoo on Halloween

“If you pet a tiger you will most likely get bitten”, the Omaha Police Department said on the zoo’s Facebook page. Eden was cited for criminal trespassing, police added.

“When she reached into the cage, she was bitten causing severe trauma to her hand”, CNN quoted police as saying.

In the statement, Jacqueline claimed that she had lost several of her clients due to the media reports that described as being a drunk woman.

A friend of the woman took her to Creighton University Medical Center, where she remains for treatment.

“She’s very friendly, which is odd because she came from the wild”, Mike Verbrigghe, the lead keeper of cats at the zoo, said on a blog post made by Omaha Zoo Foundation website. They said that she went around to an unauthorized are around 7:20 in the morning. An officer also revealed that she has had a long tryst with the law and that she has a three-page criminal record that include multiple charges for drunk driving, disorderly conduct, and disturbing the peace.

The tiger was found with her front left leg ensnared in a poacher’s trap.

However, the zoo incident is still under investigation.

Eide was reportedly bitten by an 18-year-old Malayan tiger named Mai, who has been at the zoo since 2003, a statement released by the zoo said. Veterinarians amputated the limb to save her life, and the less than 2-year-old tiger underwent rehabilitation at Malaysia’s Malacca (or “Melaka”) Zoo before arriving at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium in 2003.

The zoo had since said that Eide was not the only interloper at the facility – two individuals reportedly illegally entered the place, although it was only Eide who sustained injuries. I cannot say much but I can let everyone know I will be just fine and the media is making my injuries out to be much worse than they really are. “No action will be taken against her”. “Additional path lighting is planned for the new African Grasslands exhibit and more cameras will be installed to monitor the grounds and gates” said Dennis Pate, the CEO of the zoo.
