Phelps will swim the last leg of the relay after Conor Dwyer leads off, with Townley Haas and Ryan Lochte completing the lineup.
Michael Phelps may be getting a lot of national attention, but alongside him at the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympics are several men representing United States of America who are making us Longhorns mighty proud.

Conger and Smith earned gold medals by competing in the event’s preliminary round. He anchored a team made up of three other first-time Olympians – Clark Smith, Jack Conger and Gunnar Bentz – in the qualifying heats.

With Tuesday’s result, 42 Texas men’s swimmers and divers have collectively won 71 medals – 46 gold, 16 silver and nine bronze – at the Olympic Games. Phelps, Dwyer and Haas were added to the squad before the finals, where their fresh bodies and strong showings earlier in these Games gave the US a boost.
