Three people were killed Thursday after they were apparently shot with a crossbow in Toronto’s east end.

“After four hours of investigation, there is still much to do to determine what happened”, said in press briefing Detective Sergeant Mike Carbone.
Three people – two men and a woman – were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Police said that the person who called 911 to report the incident is one of the deceased. These killings, police said, are linked to an incident in the downtown waterfront area of Toronto. Described back in 2008 as the “Fake Beard Bandit”, Ryan was accused of robbing 15 banks by allegedly indicating to the teller that he was armed, and demanding cash.
As first responders descended on the residential neighbourhood, police cordoned off a large perimeter.
The names of the victims have not been released.
Nearby, police also found a crossbow.
Toronto police officers responded to Lawndale Road, in the Eglinton Avenue East and Markham Road area, just before 1 p.m. for a reported stabbing.
“My husband said he heard some screaming, someone was screaming there”, she said. He heard one voice say “calm down” then not long afterwards heard screaming.
Faiza Siddiqui, who lives on an adjoining street next to a park, said the incident was disturbing.
Police said he was sentenced in January 2009 to three years and nine months in prison. “I didn’t want to take any chances of disturbing, you know, making things worse”.
Bartyik said her grandparents are unable to live together in the same care home because of “backlogs and delays by our healthcare system”, and lack of space in the care facility.
