Five fire tenders have reached the spot and are trying to pull out the people who have been trapped inside. The injured persons have been sent JJ and Nair hospitals. Meanwhile, rescue operations are still on.

A fire official said, “We stopped the rescue operation after we confirmed that no one was trapped inside the debris”.

According to the Disaster Management Cell of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, the collapse occurred at 2.08 pm when the Pathar building collapsed like a pack of cards, trapping several people in the debris.
