The first quake, a magnitude-3.2, was reported just before 9 p.m. local time Sunday.

Central Arizona was rocked by a trio of small earthquakes late Sunday, with the largest rattling homes across the Phoenix metro area.

There were no immediate reports of damage from the three quakes, reports ABC affiliate KNXV-TV in Phoenix.

The third quake happened at around 11:49 p.m. and was a 4.0 natural disaster about 3 miles northeast of Black Canyon City. “It felt like a rumble and a slight movement and then like a thud”. The United States Geological Survey’s database shows just 8 earthquakes of magnitude 4 of greater have been centered in Arizona since record-keeping began. According to the USGS, no natural disaster in Arizona has ever caused death or injury.

So while neither the 1959 quake or last night’s events are the type of seismic activity our neighbors to the west experience regularly, that didn’t stop people from making fun of the reaction on social media.
