Three soldiers injured as militants ambush army convoy in Kashmir’s Kupwara district

Militants ambushed an army convoy in North Kashmir’s Handwara Wednesday morning injuring three soldiers. The town is located in Kupwara district, Jammu and Kashmir.

They said the militants fled the scene after carrying out the attack. According to NDTV, one of the injured jawans was airlifted to the Army Hospital in Srinagar after his condition deteriorated.

Reports reaching here said that an army convoy was on way to Srinagar via Baramulla when it came under attack near Kralgund village. The attack site has been cordoned off and a search operation has been launched in the region.

There are orchards on both sides of the road where the attack on army convoy took place.

On August 17, two army personnel and a policeman were killed when militants attacked a security convoy on the national highway in Baramulla.
