Three suspected militants killed in Pakistan
The incident occurred on Monday after the waiting gunmen opened fire on the brothers, who were members of the Shia Hazara community, as they were entering the Quetta passport office along with their parents.

In the first attack, three people, including a policeman, were killed when unidentified gunmen opened fire at people standing near a passport office at Joint Road area of Quetta, the provincial capital of the country’s Balochistan province. According to the police, the victim, identified as Riaz Hussain, was working in his fields in the Manzoor Ahmad Goth area when he hit a planted landmine that went off. He received wounds and was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical aid.
Law enforcement agencies cordoned off the entire area to trace out the suspects, while further probe was underway.
“The boys, in their twenties, were killed in the shooting while their parents were wounded and a policeman who was passing by the site was also killed after he shot and wounded one attacker”, senior police official Abdul Razzaq Cheema said.
Cheema said initial investigations showed that around five kilogramme of explosives were used in the terrorist attack.
The members of the Hazara community staged a sit-in outside the IG Police office and demanded the immediate arrest of the culprits. Meanwhile, the manager of a local NGO was shot dead by unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle. The attacker managed to escape from the scene.

The police have registered a case against the accused.
