Jackpot-winning tickets were drawn in Chino Hills, CA, as well as locations in Tennessee and Florida, for Wednesday night’s record-setting Powerball for $1.5 billion, the Associated Press reported.

The Michigan Lottery says tickets that are now worth $1 million each were bought for the drawing at a D&W in Grand Rapids, Horton Depot in Horton, Freedom Valu Center in Iron Mountain, Admiral gas station in Cadillac and Beacon & Bridge Market in Holly.
One of the winners was sold at a 7-Eleven in Chino Hills, California, said Alex Traverso, a spokesman for the state’s lottery. The jackpot now resets to $40 million as an annuity or $24.8 million for Saturday night’s drawing.
The winning ticket will share the $1.6 billion jackpot with winners in Southern California and Florida.
The winners’ identities remained a mystery early Thursday.

But the shaggy skateboarder and filmmaker did have one thing going for him – he does at least appear to live in California, where one of the three winning tickets was sold. To receive the full jackpot amount, winners have to accept a multi-year annuity, whereas the lump sum cash payout for the jackpot was about $983.5 million, lottery officials said.
In Michigan, five tickets matched the first five numbers.
The odds of matching all six numbers to win the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.

One of those tickets was sold in the Charlotte area, the lottery said.
The prize is the largest jackpot in lottery history and the fifth Powerball jackpot won in the state of Tennessee.
Powerball is played in 44 states, as well as the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
