Thunder discover late-game swagger during postseason

Defending champions Golden State Warriors are looking to bounce back from their previous loss as they head to Game 2 of their semi-finals series against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

NBA MVP Stephen Curry – who finished with 26 points – rubbed salt into the wound on the stroke of half-time with a trademark long-range three-pointer to give the Warriors a 13-point lead.

The fact that the National Basketball Association acknowledged missing a late travel call on Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook did little to appease Golden State coach Steve Kerr a day later. The merits of rebounding aggressively have been debated in recent years, but there’s no doubt that Oklahoma City’s brute force on the boards has really given them an advantage throughout their current win streak.

The Sharks will also host another 6 p.m. game on Thursday against the St. Louis Blues in the NHL Western Conference finals, but will get some relief with Game 4 at SAP Center slated for Saturday at 4:15 p.m. We were in small ball for the majority of the second half. “It will be a different situation for us to try to bounce back at this point in the series having a deficit”. It’s not like some things happened that we know couldn’t happen. In those games, San Antonio didn’t shoot as well as they usually do either, which can be attributed to lockdown defense by guys like Andre Roberson.

They smiled and laughed on Tuesday, but that just meant they were counting down the minutes and seconds to Game 2, when their very best will be very necessary. However, against the Thunder, they were held to under 100 points in each of the last three games.

Meanwhile, the Warriors are going to need to being who they are and have more poise.

The Thunder beat the Warriors to take a 1-0 lead.

Durant missed several shots the final few minutes of the game, but Golden State wasn’t in a position to take over the contest as they missed shots as well. And I think just coming down in the postseason we’ve just been finding ways just to finish it out.
