Thunder: Durant Set For First National Basketball Association Game In 8 Months
Durant will play in the Thunder’s preseason opener in Minnesota on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.

Kevin Durant played publicly in Oklahoma for the first time since undergoing season ending foot surgery in March. He spoke to reporters after the team’s morning shootaround and says that “it seems like it was years ago”. “I think he’s been getting back his rhythm… I know I learned a lot from that situation and just trying to move forward and continue to have confidence in myself”.
Billy Donovan helped coach the team for the first time in public since being named the team’s head coach. So, for a team as desperate to improve as the Knicks after winning just 17 games last season, they’ll be more than eager to pursue Durant with that kind of money next summer. “He’s had a few incredible flashes”. Kevin Durant scored 15 points on an efficient 5-of-8 from the floor, and Serge Ibaka led the Thunder with 18.
It’s too bad we can’t watch the game, but follow along on the twitters with John Meyer, who will be covering things from Target Center for us. You’re going to get plenty of points.
Donovan said Durant would play 18-22 minutes as he starts to ease his way back in.
Timberwolves guard Zach LaVine filmed a television commercial with Durant in the offseason and said he is happy to see one of the highest-profile players in the league back where he belongs.

From the theory of him returning home to Washington to join the Wizards, to the now famous idea of him joining the Los Angeles Lakers after his viral feud with Stephen A. Smith of ESPN’s First Take over false rumors, there are a few possibilities in the air for where Durant may go. “I’m glad he’s back and healthy”.
