Thunder put Warriors on brink of elimination

The Warriors have to win game six in front of a ferocious Oklahoma City crowd on Saturday, something they have been unable to do in the series, and then be victorious in game seven in Oakland on Monday.

Nov 2, 2014; Portland, OR, USA; Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson (11) and guard Andre Iguodala (9) high five during the fourth quarter against the Portland Trail Blazers at the Moda Center. They’ve beaten the Thunder before, and being defending champs, they have the experience to bounce back and get the wins needed to advance to the NBA Finals.

Durant wasn’t quite as dismissive, giving Curry a semi-compliment but also pointing out that Curry doesn’t often guard the top opposing players.

Oklahoma City stars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook have been strong in the series, and Westbrook filled up the boxscore with his first triple-double of the postseason with 36 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists in the 118-94 Game 4 triumph.

Led by Curry, the Warriors looked like their old winning selves again.

Morrow finished with 10 points on 4-of-4 shooting and nailed both of his 3-point attempts. They didn’t outplay us, they didn’t outwork us. Curry added seven rebounds, six assists and five steals to complete his all-around game.

“I believe in Boges”, Kerr said.

The Warriors, who won a record 73 regular-season games, find themselves shockingly on the brink, thanks to Russell Westbrook and the Thunder, who won Games 3 and 4 in blowouts.

“Their bench came in and made shots, made plays for them”.

“He’s not injured”, Kerr said. Draymond Green had 11 points and 13 rebounds.

The teams are averaging 225 points per game in the first four games and in consecutive games the Thunder went for 72 in the first half.

The fifth game of the series will be held at the Oracle Arena, a place where the Dubs were nearly unstoppable in the regular season.

Trailing 58-50 at halftime, Oklahoma City came out of the break with a 9-2 run. And the Warriors, after being dominated by the Thunder at the free-throw line in previous games, hit their shots from the charity stripe to seal the win.

“Oh, shoot”, Durant said, or something close to it.

“I’ve got a great teammate that’s obviously a better defender on the perimeter”, Curry said. Heading into the fourth, the Warriors would only be up 81-77. They lead the seven-game series 3-1. The idea now is to go home and get one win. One more technical or flagrant foul for Green and he will receive a one game automatic suspension from the league. It also matched the most points Golden State has allowed in a half this season for the second straight game.
