Thunder rally to beat Nuggets
Durant recorded his eighth double-double of the season with 26 points and 10 assists for the Thunder, who have won 10 of their last 12 games but were coming off a Christmas Day loss at home to the Chicago Bulls. That play ensured that the momentum stayed with Chicago after a bit of an Oklahoma City run. Oklahoma City has the offense revved up and has scored 118 or more points in three of the last five contests, including Sunday’s 122-112 victory over the Denver Nuggets. Russell Westbrook had 30 points, 12 assists, and nine rebounds, Kevin Durant added 26 points and 10 assists, and Enes Kanter scored 10 of his 21 points in the final period. The loss also snapped a three game win streak for the Thunder. It was close to a flawless quarter for the Bulls, which seemed on their way to an quality win on the road. Asked if he thought his words to Hoiberg had helped, Butler laughed it off, replying, “When we play like that we got a chance to win every game”.

Chicago led 51-37 with 4:58 left in the first half, but the Thunder cut it to 54-52 at halftime. Oh and a now-healthy Kevin Durant and the always bouncy and vociferous Russell Westbrook. All five assists were in the second quarter.
Derrick Rose added 19 points, and Gibson had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Bulls.
I’m not going to call that a Christmas miracle, but what an wonderful rainbow.
Durant finally figured out the Denver defense in the third quarter.
The Bulls enter a tough back-to-back against the Thunder and Mavericks having lost three straight amid Jimmy Butler calling out Hoiberg, Joakim Noah landing on the shelf for two to four weeks with a sprained left shoulder and daily questions about leadership, chemistry and a failure to smoothly transition to Hoiberg’s offensive style. Beat the Thunder 104-98 at United Center on November 5…. A layup by Duncan came next before Harden brought the crowd to its feet with an off-balance 3-pointer from the corner that made it 84-75.
Gallinari is expected to miss this game, which really puts a thorn in the side of the Nuggets.
“Listen, you have to be realistic about what we’re facing and where we are right now as a team and as an organization”, Bryant said after Wednesday’s 120-85 loss to Oklahoma City. Will Barton continued his good play off the bench with 19 points on 8-16 shooting, while also recording 5 rebounds and 5 assists in 35 minutes. Foye and Jameer Nelson each are only four shy of reaching 1,000 3-pointers for their careers.
Bulls: At Dallas on Saturday night.
Poise: There was slippage, and there were instances where it looked like the Bulls would let the Thunder back in the game, especially late. This includes the preparation of derivative works of, or the incorporation of such content intoother works.
