Ticket prices for Coldplay’s Indian gig leave ‘desi’ fans cold
The band will perform on November 19 at the MMRDA in the city, reports Mid Day. Each action will earn you a point and with enough points you can enter the draw, making you eligible to win you and a friend a ticket. “But we feel they will most likely be VIP, VVIP and above category tickets”, Creative Minds Entertainment wrote in a blog post. The tickets will be live from September 12 to 15 on BookMyShow, giving the website enough time to prepare for the inevitable crash. Then came the moment when jaws collectively dropped on the floor after the prices of the tickets were announced. People in India have forgotten the “selling kidney for Apple iPhones” joke, now that the price for the Coldplay concert passes are out. So if you’re feeling poor and sad, these tweets will make you ROFL. Watching Coldplay perform in India would come at a pretty hefty cost.

After an impromptu performance in Delhi past year and lots (and lots) of rumours about an official India tour, Coldplay has finally confirmed a performance in Mumbai, and it’s much closer than you think! At this gig Freida Pinto was in attendance too as both visited the country as a part of a Global Poverty Project Delegation.
