Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry (30) drives around San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker, of France, during the first half of an NBA basketball game, Sunday, April 10, 2016, in San Antonio.

“We have an opportunity to do something that’s never been done in history”, said Curry, the league’s top scorer and reigning MVP. No sloppy ball handling, just play it smart and control the tempo of the game. “For us 15 guys to say we’ve accomplished something as a group that’s never been done before, that’s remarkable”.

Memphis (42-38) plays tonight in Los Angeles against the Clippers (52-28) on TNT at 9:30 p.m. CT. So Wednesday’s game against the Warriors will be the second of a back-to-back for the Grizzlies.

“The schedule’s insane and obviously we’re right in the middle of the season, so there are times where you might wake up and not want to get out of bed or whatever, but it is helpful to remember how I felt as a kid and the stuff my dad taught me, and be reminded the importance of the stage and the platform we have”, he said. Stephen Curry and the Warriors have been the team to beat this season, and look to be unstoppable.

Golden State has a big advantage in three-point shooting, having made 1,057 compared to Chicago who made 544 threes. How many of them do we see break down and fail from the huge stress. They were first in offensive rating, first in defensive rating, and lets not forget…we are talking about the greatest team of all time with the greatest player of all time. Because it’s nearly like letting somebody get to Mile 25 of a marathon and saying, ‘You can’t finish.’ And the person’s saying, ‘I know I can. Despite being six games back in the loss column, the Spurs have a better point differential and net rating than the Warriors.

While they have shown some vulnerability over the last few weeks as the regular season winds down, the Warriors have yet to lose back-to-back games this year. Try telling Draymond Green the regular season is meaningless. There was a definite lack of media pressure on the players to do this incredible thing. I mean, I think if I can keep him under 20 (points), I think I’m doing good… “Playing in Golden State, I know how alive that crowd is going to be, and I’m going to be very excited to be part of that game”.

– They ended the Spurs 39 game undefeated home streak.

Marquee players Michael Jordan and Steph Curry had/have comparable statistics and indefinable qualities that gave/give them transcendent appeal and leadership ability. Even Phil Jackson, who had critiqued the Warriors’ style of play last season, tweeted: “Way-to-Go!!”

I myself was a Curry doubter at his early stages of his career, i never thought he would make the leap from an above average point guard to a LeBron James like figure that would take the National Basketball Association by storm.

“We got to start the playoffs, ” Randolph said.

The Warriors often don’t get enough credit for how they can slow down opponents and that has made all the difference in the battles between the two giants.
