Tide, Tigers set for Iron Bowl showdown
Henry has scored multiple touchdowns in Alabama’s last five games, and he will try to find the endzone against the Tigers Saturday afternoon.

Auburn answered on the ensuing possession.
I’m still basking in the afterglow that was the 2013 Iron Bowl, after that game I firmly believe that Auburn can win ANY game AND that unicorns can fly. The Tide slips a bit in overall passing defense, ranking fifth at 187.2 yards per game, but Auburn is 12 there at 237 yards per game. Kiffin, on Twitter, dropped his first tweet since July, posting a photo of his son “dabbing” on Auburn’s field. There were a lot of field goals.
On the ensuing kickoff, Alabama returner Damien Harris lost the ball in the sun, and appeared to touch the football as it rolled past him. Ricardo Louis and Melvin Ray have combined for 898 receiving yards and five touchdowns while Roc Thomas has 11 receptions. If Auburn expects to compete with Alabama, I think they’ll need at least 200 yards rushing.
With the game on the line in the final quarter, Henry rushed 19 times for 114 yards in the fourth quarter alone to lead the Tide out of a tense situation in which they were clinging to a 19-13 lead midway through the period. Now coach Nick Saban’s crew is back to being the team no one wants to play in the College Football Playoff.
The ensuing drive for the Crimson Tide stalled at the 33, prompting another field goal.
Griffith had makes of 26, 40, 26, 50 and 47 yards.
Alabama lengthened its lead late in the third period, moving 85 yards in nine plays to a touchdown on an impressive 34-yard pass from Coker to Stewart with 5:14 on the clock. Alabama’s junior running back is listed at 6-foot-3, 242 pounds, and is a challenge for any defense to bring down.
If you are an Auburn tigers fan here’s just one more thing to be excited about. The Tigers lone touchdown came when Johnson hit Jason Smith on a 77-yard touchdown pass that Smith bobbled before gaining control and seeing only green ahead of him.
Alabama Crimson Tide rank at 43 for scoring 33.5 points where as Auburn Tigers rank at 85 for allowing 29.4 scores.
Alabama fans Chris Wynn and Lisa Wilson of Eva both grew up fans of the Crimson Tide. In the second half alone Henry scampered 30 times for 177 yards and the game-sealing touchdown, and he finished with 46 carries for a whopping 277 yards on the night.

And so there they were, in a close game heading to the fourth quarter. Both records were set in 2011 by Trent Richardson. Malzahn acknowledged the offensive problems Saturday were just a manifestation of the struggles of the entire 2015 campaign but the Tigers third-year head coach was in no mood to discuss staff changes. Griffith was responsible for all 12 first half points. Smith tipped the deep ball from Jeremy Johnson into the air twice with his right hand before collecting it and racing to the end zone for the Tigers’ longest pass play of the season.
