Tiger Shroff, Jacqueline Fernandez
Released on Thursday to cash in on the festive mood of Janmashtami, it gets three more days to rake in the moolah over the weekend at the box office. Let’s review the film. Even though the film does offer entertainment in tangible proportion, there are places where the film starts looking lost.

The film has everything – a social message, a desi superhero, romance, drama and fun, but highly lacks a worthy plot. The highlight of the song as reported is not just its superhero, the nimble-footed Tiger Shroff matching steps with choreographer-turned-director, Remo D’Souza, but also a bunch of school kids, who were picked after a nationwide hunt. To match the strength of Tiger, he sends out his ultimate weapon, the gigantic-looking Nathan Jones (an Australian actor, power-lifting champion and an ex-professional wrestler). Through the film also carries some learning values, how to avoid pollution, and keep the seat belt while driving, it also reveals the fact behind the 12 hours issue of “Sardars”. The audience who were bored with routine love stories are very much impressed with the script as is was different from routine movies which is one of the major advantage. Sure, many superhero films have common tropes, and A Flying Jatt establishes very early on that it isn’t the most orginal or sophisticated of movies.
Shah Rukh Khan’s ambitious 3D science fiction film directed by Anubhav Sinha was one of the most expensive Indian projects at the time of release.
In the movie, a superhero (Tiger Shroff) is shown as an ordinary man, who is even scared of heights. A Flying Jatt has recovered its budget of 25 crores within the opening weekend, but weekdays are crucial to achieve the successful mark.
Second-half of the movie loses its track but, somehow, gains the momentum back during the pre-climax scenes. Jacqueline Fernandez has done justice to her role and her chemistry with Tiger is a highlight of the movie. Amrita Singh as the typical Punjabi mother delivers a decent performance and is extremely lovable in her character. Sachin-Jigar’s music is quite entertaining.
However, the kids might enjoy the film due to its action, punchlines and superhero stuff. “Our film has connected with the audience”. Well, you need to watch the film to find out the answers.
