Tiger Woods: ‘There’s nothing I can look forward to’
But I don’t need another surgery, period. You blow out your ACL, which I did, and then I had a reconstruction, and, okay, back in nine months.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report. ESPN reports that Woods had a “microdiscectomy to deal with disc issues” and now he has had three back surgery procedures over the past year and a half.
In a far cry from the years when he was one of the highest-paid athletes in the world, Woods also revealed that he spent most of his time playing video games, which he has got very good at in recent times. “He’s kind of matter-of-fact about it. He’s kind of a matter-of-fact guy”.
“That’s the hardest part for me, is that there’s really nothing I can look forward to, or build towards”, he said.
He has nothing to look forward to?
Unfortunately for Woods, he may have to make that choice sooner than later.
“We’d be on the tee back there just hitting golf balls, not saying a word to each other”, he said.
Woods, who has had two operations on his back in the past two months, was asked what it has been like watching Lakers star Kobe Bryant in his final season in the National Basketball Association.
Big picture, things are bleak.
Woods clairifed some of his statements in an interview with PGA Tour Radio.
When it comes to golf, Woods says he can’t stand watching it, and adds his daily goal now is “to do nothing” when it comes to his recovery from chronic knee and back ailments.
Golfers are supposed to last forever, or nearly that long. He ended up winning, what, at 54, when he won at Greensboro?
Woods sullied his reputation and shocked the world when it was discovered that he was cheating on his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren in 2009, but he said he’s taken steps to fix his relationship with the mother of his two children. It’s awesome how we can cross so many timelines, I have been part of so many different generations.
Tiger has been on the declining years and the sun is setting on an illustrious career of major championships and over 100 professional wins worldwide. He was always precocious. It was related to age – the first time Nicklaus broke 40, broke 80, won his first golf tournament, his first state amateur, his first U.S. Amateur and first U.S. Open.
Woods and Jack Nicklaus are the two greatest players ever. “I will probably play through a little bit of pain, aches and pains, as you get older, you have more aches and pains”. With press conferences at tournaments he’s not well enough to play.

Regardless of whether or not Woods returns to pro golf, and at times, he read like a guy who was more keen on walking away than soldiering on, Woods remained upbeat about his place in golf history.
