Biden says in his speech at the Democratic convention that GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump is belittling US allies while embracing “dictators like Vladimir Putin”.
The president takes to the mic at the Democratic convention on Wednesday, two days after Michelle Obama wowed delegates with her forceful defense of Hillary Clinton.
Kaine formally accepted the Democratic nomination for vice president following speeches by a parade of big name Clinton supporters including Vice President Joe Biden and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg. He officially became the nominee in the early moments of Wednesday’s session, joining the ticket by acclamation to cheers and a few scattered boos.
Tim Kaine needs to make an appearance on “SNL” next season because he does a killer impression of Donald Trump.
Beyond the comic relief, Kaine did offer more substance on why Trump can’t be trusted with the keys to the White House. “Is it too much to ask that someone not offend women every time he opens his mouth?”
Kaine said Clinton possesses several characteristics that have prepared her to assume the mantle of the presidency. Elizabeth Warren, a champion of tougher restrictions on Wall Street and liberal causes. “And in a world where we have too much politics of personal destruction, I think that will be a pretty refreshing sign for an terrible lot of folks”. That’s what Barack and Michelle Obama are about. “He was very respectful and humble about what he learned”, she said. “It starts to sound like parsing to me and others”. While he joined Clinton for a joint interview with CBS’ “60 Minutes”, Kaine’s first solo television interview was with “Noticias Telemundo”. “Retirees and families in Florida believed Donald Trump when he said he’d build them condos”, Kaine said.
“I’m a progressive in the south, and that may be different than being a progressive in Vermont or a progressive in Oregon”, Kaine told ABC’s “Good Morning America” correspondent Robin Roberts.
“We made a decision to release it online, and that’s what slows it down because you have to be more responsible about making sure things are restricted”.

“We got home late last night and someone sent a link to the Twitter thread that went viral”, she said.
