Tim Kaine receives democratic nomination for Vice President
“What he can help with Hillary Clinton’s message and what he can bring to an administration, just in terms of how he governs and that public service ethos, will be exactly what we need”, Lopez said.

But a vice presidential nominee isn’t only supposed to be warm and fuzzy. Representing a national Democratic constituency, Kaine is going to act differently than he did representing a state constituency in Virginia.
Around 2 a.m. Eastern time Saturday, Kaine landed in Miami with his wife, a speech draft and two new staff members.
Kaine’s record is one of a pragmatic, even cautious leader. “So let’s talk about trust”.
“And on a personal level, as he is serving our nation overseas, I trust Hillary Clinton with our son’s life”, Kaine said.
Addressing those Virginia delegates in Philadelphia, he praised Mrs Clinton for her plans to tackle economic inequality, the great cause that animates the Democratic Party’s loud populist wing.
With her official nomination came the official announcement of her running-mate, Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia has been self-described as a “boring” person, but who is he really?
“That’s one of the things Hillary has told him that’s what she wants”, Holton said. His Republican National Convention in Cleveland was a four-day gamble on turnout, with angry, dystopian speeches aimed at mostly white voters who believe their country has been stolen from them.
“It is clear that he misspoke”, said state Sen.
“The guy promises a lot”, Kaine began.
Yet unlike some politicians who hold similar views, he knows how to present progressive goals in a patriotic light. In other forums, he has made sure to use some of his Spanish that he learned from young Hondurans while he was teaching them welding and carpentry on a mission trip.
President Barack Obama used what is likely his last high-profile speech as president to make a powerful case for Hillary Clinton’s election, saying it wasn’t even a close choice between her and Donald Trump, whom he described as a homegrown demagogue. Since Clinton’s main rival, U.S. Sen.
‘Thomas declared all were men equal and Abigail remembered the women, ‘ he said. “Our nation is too great to put it in the hands of a slick-talking, empty-promising, self-promoting, one-man wrecking crew”.
Kaine, who needed to reach the liberals and the anti-Clinton crowds, entertained the DNC attendees by showing off his Trump impressions. Kaine would be a flawless calming candidate for this controversy-filled presidential election. Running arm-in arm with President Obama in 2012, Kaine was swept into office, outperforming the President in Virginia. After Clinton called it the “gold standard” of trade deals while secretary of state, she has come to oppose the pact, like most congressional Democrats including Sanders. We’re gonna destroy ISIS so fast-believe me! They point to his work as a civil rights attorney specializing in fair housing, his opposition to the death penalty, and record as governor of defending education funding during tough times.
Kaine attempted to defray some of that worry during his address.
“We should all feel the Bern”, the Virginia Senator said, directly addressing rumors that Bernie Sanders delegates planned to stage a walk-out during his primetime address.
“We share this belief: Do all the good you can”.

Be Civil – It’s OK to have a difference in opinion but there’s no need to be a jerk. He told Robin Roberts on Good Morning America that he believes Donald Trump is a threat to “everything we care about”.
