Tim Kaine Says He’s a ‘Harry Truman Democrat’

Norman Solomon, a delegate who supports Sanders, said Wasserman Schultz’s removal was unlikely to soothe those who back the Vermont senator.

Janet Schreiner, 64, of Wynnewood, called Clinton “the brightest woman in the room” and was excited to vote for her. But she also said Clinton should address the trust issues head-on.

Kaine has a “quiet dignity” that makes people feel comfortable, Perry said.

Clinton, raised in the Sputnik era, once aspired to be an astronaut and, when she was short on cash in college, scavenged the Wellesley campus for discarded items.

“I personally know I have work to do on this front”.

“One the other hand, on social issues I think Tim Kaine is pretty good, ” Miller said.

Some voters at Friday’s rally said this week’s Republican National Convention inspired them to attend Clinton’s rally in Tampa.

Bitterness and frustration among the more progressive wing came after some 19,000 emails were published on the website Wikileaks that suggested the Democratic National Committee played favorites during the primary, when Sanders fell short against Hillary Clinton. She said Clinton can’t change her feelings now.
