Tebow, a former Heisman Trophy victor, announced last month that he was interested in returning to baseball, attempting an athletic comeback in a sport he has not played since 2005. Tebow, at 6-3 and 260 pounds, showed impressive batting practice power, but struggled against former major league pitchers in live hitting. He has not played in a regular season game since.

More than likely, a team will sign Tebow – and a team will sign Tebow, I have no doubt about that – and send him to their fall instructional league later this month before bringing him to spring training next year.
Tebow played for the Denver Broncos and New York Jets in the National Football League from 2010-2012.
Tebow spent the 2013 preseason with the Patriots and 2015 preseason with the Eagles.
The Colorado Rockies, Braves and Marlins reportedly had interest in Tebow. Both teams released him during the 53-man cutdown. The former first-round pick of the Denver Broncos is headed to the Instructional League in Port St. Lucie, FL, the team stated. On Aug. 23, he held a workout in front of 30 Major League Baseball scouts.
The Blue Jays are a great team to take a chance on him and they have always had a good minor league system. “We were teammates a few years ago”.
Tim Tebow’s baseball tryout must have proved something, because the New York Mets have signed him. “It’s good to have him back in NY”.

According to reports, Tebow’s decision to pursue a career in professional baseball at this time of his life (he is 29) comes from the fact that he apparently agonized over giving up the sport in high school to focus on being a quarterback.
