Tim Tebow expected to draw huge crowd for Major League Baseball workout

The above scouting report – based on a 20-to-80 scale used in baseball circles – might as well be an evaluation of Tebow’s football prowess.

“The Bluefish welcome Tim with open arms”, Bluefish General Manager Jamie Toole said in a statement.

“He’s won the Heisman. He’s won two national championships”, Amaro told Yahoo Sports.

The Bluefish are members of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, an independent minor league, and play home games at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport.

“There wasn’t a season that went by where it wasn’t something that I thought about. It’s a pay cut to do this, and for me, you pursue what you love, right?” “So, I think for that reason, he probably will stay more domestically here, whether its instructional league in Florida or Arizona, or in the Arizona Fall League”.

Tim Tebow is known for three things: football, Bible-thumping and being strangely pretty. “Knowing Tim’s passion and desire, we won’t be surprised by anything he accomplishes”.

Tebow, now 29, hasn’t played competitive baseball since high school.

“Everyone says ‘Well, he was really good in high school.’ Well join the ten million other really good high school players”, Klatt told The Audible Podcast with Bruce Feldman and Stewart Mandel. As a junior he posted a.494 batting average and helped his alma mater reach the semi-finals in the state playoffs, according to NFL.com. So the more you can get down into your knees sometimes it’s better. “I’ve never seen him hit”.

A few big-league teams talked privately with Tebow after the workout, and he seems unlikely to have trouble finding an organization willing to give a chance to a celebrity with clear baseball ability, however rudimentary.

GM Sandy Alderson recently intimated that their interest in Tebow was close to non-existent, so it’s likely that they’re simply sending a scout there for due diligence.
