Tim Tebow Gets Mixed Reviews From Scouts Following Baseball Workout
LOS ANGELES – Former football star Tim Tebow held a tryout for Major League Baseball teams Tuesday in Los Angeles, as scouts and media diligently chronicled his efforts to make a bold foray into a new sport at age 29.

The Texas Rangers sent out an area scout to watch former National Football League quarterback Tim Tebow try his hands at baseball once again.
According to Yahoo Sports, the former Heisman Trophy victor and devout Christian QB was offered a contract by the five-time Venezuelan league champion Aguilas del Zulia on Monday. The Heisman Trophy victor was timed sprinting, caught fly balls and took some pitches at the plate. The Heisman Trophy victor works.
It’s reported that all but two Major League Baseball teams sent scouts to watch him run, hit and field on Tuesday. He ran the 60-yard dash in about 6.7-seconds, which some say is pretty impressive considering his size.
The former Florida Gators standout, who squared off against veteran pitchers Smith and David Aardsma, finished 8-for-19 with two doubles and three strikeouts.
Almost a decade after helping lead the Gators to the 2008 national title, Tebow has reemerged from wherever he’s been (no one knows!) to try out a pro baseball career.

“I hope he takes it”, Amaro said.
“I spent time with Tim Tebow is the cages”, former All-Star slugger Gary Sheffield told the AP. When did pursuing what you love become a bad thing, regardless of the result? “Tebow is still a broadcaster, so he still has some obligations there until the end of the calendar year where he has to be available on weekends”, said Morosi.
“The goal would be to have a career in the big leagues”, he said.
And on one pitch, Tebow showed off some serious power. “I did everything I could, I pushed it, so I would rather be someone (who) can live with peace and no regret than the ‘what if” or being scared if I didn’t make it.

Tebow worked out in front of 48 scouts from 28 teams, according to ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick, and showed some decent power and “above-average” speed in his workout.
