Tim Tebow: I’m Not Speaking At Donald Trump’s Republican Convention!
Kasich, a former GOP presidential candidate this election cycle, joins presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, Ohio Republican Sen.

Donald Trump received a major victory Thursday as delegates overwhelmingly opposed last-ditch efforts to derail his nomination.
Other votes followed, with the voice margin being so obvious that no roll call was called for. “I don’t know what they have or have not decided”, Mickelson said, saying she was committed to moving on regardless. So it was never a real opportunity. “They were never there”.
Much of Thursday’s combativeness came from delegates loyal to Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, who finished second in the primary campaign and may be trying to help shape the party’s rules in a way that could help him with a potential 2020 White House bid.
But like other sports stars whom Donald Trump said he would like to have appear at the convention Tom Brady and Serena Williams, for example Tebow is out. Her plan would let delegates “cast a vote of conscience” and back the contender of their choice.
Trump irritated NAACP leaders earlier this week by turning down their invitation, citing scheduling conflicts with the Republican convention.
However, “Trump doesn’t care about boring politicians”, Meyers noted.
Kendal Unruh, a rules panel member from Colorado who spearheaded the anti-Trump effort, told delegates it was a “God-given right” for them to be able to vote freely at the convention. “This way people don’t have to cheer during Trump’s speech, they can just shoot ’em into the air like Yosemite Sam”, Meyers said.
Thursday’s rules hearing nearly immediately went into a recess because of a printer jam, then delayed for hours while parties negotiated on a possible way to avoid a contentious vote. “The RNC and Trump whip teams erupted into applause behind a section-off portion of the cavernous hall when the committee adjourned”. If they vote for the minority report it could mean that Trump’s numbers are not as solid as they seem.

In a gesture to conservatives, the rules panel voted to create a commission that by 2018 could propose changes to the GOP’s presidential nominating process, which came under intense fire this year. After those negotiations failed, the Trump forces beat back their opponents with votes. They focused on conservative proposals aimed at appealing to grassroots conservatives that would take power away from Priebus and the 168-member RNC. The presumption was that Trump, who captured well over the 1,237 delegates needed, would fall short and the convention would move to additional ballots where another candidate would win.
