Tim Tebow reveals the two things he wants from an Major League Baseball team

Scouts may have torn apart Tim Tebow’s baseball stokes yesterday in Southern California, but at least one team was impressed.

Before dozens of scouts, the former Heisman-winning quarterback ran a 60-yard dash in 6.7 seconds, threw to bases from right field, ran routes on fly balls in center field, took batting practice and had live at-bats against former Major League Baseball pitchers.

Tebow has not played baseball since 2004, his junior year of high school, after which he focused on football and went on to win a Heisman Trophy and two national championships at Florida. Tebow reportedly faced former big leaguers David Aardsma and Chad Smith and appeared overmatched, though he showed better bat speed in batting practice. At Allen D. Nease High School in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Tebow earned all-state honors as a baseball player.

“While Tebow expects to map out his future in the coming weeks, one source familiar with his plans told Yahoo Sports he has interest in playing winter ball”.

No matter what anyone says though, Tim Tebow wants people to know that this is not about getting publicity and it is also not about money. Rather, it’s basically to see if Tebow has something that resembles a Major League skill set. He spent the next two seasons out of football before signing with the Philadelphia Eagles during training camp in 2015.
