Tim Tebow tries out for Major League Baseball, reportedly offered contract from Venezuelan team
It’s been 12 years since Tebow has played baseball, but that won’t stop him from trying his hardest to join the big leagues.

So as it turns out, Tebow is big and strong, but his footwork isn’t great, his delivery is pretty poor, and he doesn’t have a cannon for an arm.
“I am beyond impressed with Tim’s athleticism and swing, and it goes without saying that he has shown a high level of discipline and strong work ethic”, Moeller said in a statement. I took a pay cut to do this. “I think there may be scouts here pleasantly surprised by what Tim Tebow can do”.
“There is 100 percent nerves, no question about it”, Tebow said. They happen to be a five-time Venezuelan Professional Baseball League champion and have also gone on to win the Caribbean Series twice.
Tebow, the former Florida Gators Heisman victor, worked out in Los Angeles before 48 scouts representing 28 teams, according to Jerry Crasnick of ESPN. Tebow last played baseball as an outfielder at St. Augustine (Fla.) Nease High.
Tebow will face two right-handers during the showcase in live batting practice: nine-year veteran David Aardsma and Thousand Oaks, California nativeChad Smith, who said Tebow was struggling to recognize the changeup in workouts, but improved later on as repetitions increased. However, baseball is not an easy sport to just pick up on the run. The former big-league catcher saw daily improvements in Tebow, from his bat speed to his mental game. They acquired Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson at the 2013 winter meetings, selecting him from the Colorado Rockies in the minor-league phase of the Rule 5 draft.
Tebow reached the National Football League playoffs in 2011 with the Denver Broncos, but couldn’t cement a long-term roster spot in subsequent attempts with the New York Jets and New England Patriots.
Still, he said, “this isn’t about publicity”. “It’s definitely not about money”.
