Tim Tebow won’t be speaking at the GOP convention
Speculation has run rampant for months with members of the dissatisfied #NeverTrump movement vowing to derail the nomination of GOP front runner Donald Trump by first getting their own rules passed in the convention rules committee.

MS delegates to the Republican National Convention are praising Donald Trump’s choice of Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate.
“I wake up this morning to find out that I’m speaking at the Republican National Convention”, Tebow said in a video posted on Facebook.
“I think that we would love to have him, don’t get me wrong”, Spicer said during a live broadcast. Delegate after delegate rose to give their reasons for supporting primary results binding delegates to vote for specific candidates, with many citing the more than 14 million voters who cast a ballot for Trump in the primary. That’s a safe assumption, though NBC News’ report added that Colorado delegate Kendal Unruh, whose “Never Trump” activism enjoyed support from Sen.
Trump’s campaign chairman Paul Manafort declared victory shortly thereafter.
Tebow’s appearance at the GOP convention, which was widely reported after The New York Times detailed the speaker list, was even promoted by Trump’s son Eric during an interview yesterday on the Fox Business Network. That was one of the problems that this Never Trump issue had last night.
Matthew Jennert of Orlando, Fla. adjusts the sign for the OH delegation as preparations continue for the Republican National Convention, Friday, July 15, 2016, at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
Matthew Colter Hurtt, a Virginia delegate and conservative activist, argued that the traditional conscience clause – which activists like Unruh claim proves the Republican Party has always had essentially unbound delegates – has no real effect.
The convention will highlight religious leaders such as Jerry Falwell Jr. and Haskel Lookstein, the NY rabbi who converted Trump’s daughter Ivanka to Judaism. But instead of sports stars and celebrities, as promised, the campaign is relying heavily on the party’s establishment for the four-day convention, which begins Monday. Gotta hand it to the RNC and its lackeys: When they go in the tank for someone, they go all the way.
“There’s a variety of areas we could be assigned to”, she said.
Although at this point, we have no idea who we’ll actually be seeing in Cleveland.
In the end, only 21 committee members voted to keep debating the “unbinding” language, before it was defeated by a voice vote. We all know the truth, but like I say, we all need our phony consolations.
