Time announced for Knights’ potential Game 6 against Sharks

“Yeah, it was a good shot”. The game was over from the start as Boston never stopped putting shots on net, ending game one with a favored score of 6-2.

The Golden Knights are looking for a spark after dropping game two 4-3 in double overtime, expecting to face a hostile environment in San Jose.

Jumping ahead to overtime, thanks to some solid catch-up play from the Sharks, we have this ridiculous save by Marc-Andre Fleury.

The Sharks opened as minus-148 favorites (wager $148 to win $100); the total is at 5.5 goals, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.

You need three things to win in the National Hockey League playoffs: 5-on-5 scoring, a strong penalty kill and a goalie who can steal you a game. “It was a good feeling”. Justin Braun and Kevin Labanc had the assists.

“With every round, you have to elevate your game, your intensity, everything, and we didn’t”, Cooper said.

“To come out of that first period 0-0, we need to find a way to get the lead”, coach Peter DeBoer said.

The expansion Vegas Golden Knights still have yet to lose a postseason road game in their history.

Knights coach Gerard Gallant said, “We were disappointed when they scored with almost two minutes left in the game (to force overtime). We let our foot off the gas for about four minutes there”.

The numbers behind the odds don’t really matter to teams when they are on the ice, but it does go to show just how much the stock of Vegas has risen.

Over the course of the year I’ve had to train myself (and I’m sure you have too) to stop doubting them, but everyone once in a while it still seeps back in. I really liked our response.

“It’s easy, we’ll go to practice tomorrow and the game the next day.”

It says a lot about our group.

The Knights could be going for another sweep here had Jonathan Marchessault’s backhand goal past Sharks goalie Martin Jones late in the first overtime of Game 2 not been waived off due to a questionable goaltender interference call.

Sharks: 1-for-4 on the power play: 4-for-6 on the penalty kill. The Sharks allowed just four goals in the four games against the Ducks, but they have now allowed 14 goals in the three games against the Knights. But the Knights broke out with the loose puck and Karlsson beat Martin Jones with a wrist shot high to the stick side and was mobbed by his teammates. Center William Karlsson scored 8:17 into the extra session to complete his third straight multipoint contest. Kane sniped a shot into the short side top corner, beating Marc-Andre Fleury’s glove hand to cut the Sharks’ deficit to 3-2.

Marchessault’s goal at 13:09 of the second period.

It was Karlsson’s fourth goal of the playoffs thus far, and it’s probably safe to say that Jones isn’t the biggest fan of having to face the risky forward. He’s very clutch. He’s a guy with a great shot. Scoring a late goal to send an National Hockey League playoff game into overtime would seem to generate momentum that would carry over to the extra session.
