Time for ‘Reactions’, says Facebook
Reactions are shown underneath a post in the same way that likes are with the numbers for each reaction listed next to each one.

Facebook users have reacted to this development by expressing their disappointment for not including the much anticipated dislike button which was clamoured for previous year. The button is now accompanied by five other emoticons Zuckerberg calls “Reactions”. If the Facebook reactions have reached your country, the new reactions should pop up in a bar above.
The emojis that are available in the new reactions buttons: love, haha, wow, sad and angry alongside the original like button. Truth is, majority are so not worthy of your precious newsfeed space and are actually reasons why that “unfollow” button is equally famous and useful. For this, Facebook added quickly expressing reactions which are an extension of the Like button.
The changes to perhaps the website’s most fundamental feature are sure to be a cause for great discussion. “We are now excited to offer it to everyone who uses Facebook around the world”, Sammi Krug, product manager at Facebook, said in a blog post on Wednesday. The Reactions give you a new way to share your own reaction to any post. Facebook considered dozens of reactions but decided on the final six reactions for their universal appeal.
Not many people are seeing this feature. The new buttons have been trialled in tests since October previous year but this is the first time they have been rolled out to everyone.

“We also looked at how people are already commenting on posts and the top stickers and emoticons as signals for the types of reactions people are already using to determine which reactions to offer”. On the mobile, you might have to shut the Facebook app completely (even from the background), and reopen a couple of times to be able to see the reaction buttons.
