Tina Fey: ‘Oprah is my dream sister’

Fey’s Kate is the unhinged, oversexed loon while Poehler’s Maura has the self-sacrificial prudery of a kid who spent her life cleaning up after her older sister’s wreckage. Rudolph left SNL in 2007 and has appeared in various TV shows and movie projects, including husband Paul Thomas Anderson’s Inherent Vice. It’s not quite a Sisters trailer, and it’s not quite a Broad City ad, but it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan of these four hilarious women. “And I have finally learnt that it is better for them to be mad at you and disagree than you be so mad at yourself all of the time for not speaking up”. Seeing people who look like you being considered attractive by attractive members of the opposite sex and no one thinking this is weird or implausible. I just got a message from Tina saying, ‘Hey, would you please come be in our movie?

“But you end up searching out people who like the same things as you and who also get you”. The name said everything. “So I’m a mix of the two”.

As for Fey, her next film – due in the spring – is a war comedy in the vein of M*A*S*H, she said, based on the Kim Barker memoir, The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Sisters earns a spot in that pantheon, however it’s defined-even if it’s never quite as good as its leads.

Once the bash really gets going, I was swept up in the chaos and happily clicked off my brain.

Watching the movie I wondered how often you guys couldn’t stop from laughing on set. It was actually impossible not to.

This definitely makes us think there needs to be an Amy, Tina, Abbi, Ilana movie or sitcom in the near future.

Besides, Poehler isn’t the kind of person who will sit around waiting for the phone to ring.

It’s the best possible thing. “I love him so much”.

As adults, most of us have probably dealt with one form of namecalling or another over the years, but very, very few of us are head writers on Saturday Night Live being called a “cunt” by a coworker.

“They’re full of pathos, no sex whatsoever and I have a lot of hope for the future”, Pell’s remarked.

“But it was also cool for us to watch (each other grow), and hopefully in the future (we’ll keep growing), until the robots kill us”. “You don’t even fucking know anything'”. Tina continues: “That’s the world that we live in”.
