Tinder is popular at the Olympics’ Athletes Village

In what has become something of an Olympic tradition, Olympic athletes in Rio are using Tinder at a shockingly high rate.

Because, not only are the Brazilians a gorgeous (and generously waxed) people, but Tinder in Brazil right now is full of cut Olympic athletes looking to let off a little steam as they hang out in Olympic Village.

The 11,000-plus athletes competing in the 2016 Olympic games have given Tinder’s Brazil business a big boost.

If you want a better ideal of what “next level” Tinder looks like, here are some of our favorite shots of Olympians now on Tinder at the 2016 Rio Games.

Profiles from athletes of almost every sport can be found on Tinder with updates like “Got plenty of time to kill” or “Looking for fun in Rio!” “Over the weekend, matches in the Olympic Village increased by 129 percent and we expect this trend to continue throughout the Games”.

On Tinder, there are plenty of athlete profiles to choose from. Then, during the 2015 World Championships in Athletics in Beijing, they made a decision to start uploading screenshots to Instagram, gaining a following among some athletes. Many updated their status to reflect they are in Rio with a photo of them shirtless or in a bikini next to the pool or a beach. “We said when we get there, we’re going to medal”, Hernandez said. “I am a pretty boy”.
